Graymark Model 510 Plastic Radio (1950s)
Plain plastic boxes housing a standard "All American Five" chassis.
Who knows how many zillions of these radios were made over the years!
A friend of mine picked this up for $1 at a garage sale. I know it's
politically incorrect to like these cheap generic radios, but there's
something cute about this one. Maybe it's the proud FIVE TUBE SUPER
legend on the dial. Or maybe it's because I owned one like this as
a kid, bought with paper-route money.
I have seen references to Graymark radio kits in radio
literature. This one might have been built from a kit, although
most kit sellers also offered the same radio pre-assembled.
