Motorola Model AC41AL Plastic Radio (1950s)

Okay, so it's not the crown jewel of my collection. If you want to know the truth, I bought this radio for parts. It was sitting at the back of a Minnesota junk shop, with a price tag of $3. I said to myself, "Hey, if it has only one working tube that I can use to fix another radio, I've earned back my $3 right there."

That was before I bought around 1,000 used tubes from an old guy's estate for $10. Now, I've got more old tubes than I'll ever use, and this ugly duckling is still hanging around looking forlorn. Guess there's no choice left but to clean it up and pretend it's pretty. Welcome to the flock, ducky!
