Philco Model 46-420 Bakelite Radio (1946)

I love the soft lines of this radio. You won't find a square corner or a straight edge anywhere. The unusual top-mounted knobs give it a sort of hippo appearance (or is it a very old-fashioned space alien?)

This is a six-tube radio, using 7A8, 35Z5GT, 7C6, 7C7, 7B7, and 50B5 tubes.

Like many Bakelite sets, this one was also offered with an ivory paint finish.
